NBA 2k12
« en: 13 de Junio de 2011, 02:10:10 »
Abro este post para comentar las novedades que traera el proximo juego de la saga.

primer gameplay E3   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zd0SC6aB5Wg

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last year at E3, I found out about the new arena-arrival cuts before the game. This year, the new pre-tipoff eye candy comes in the form of dynamic introductions. These are stylized videos with custom music showing off the marquee players of the matchup. It's basically what you see in real NBA broadcasts that tease the upcoming game.

According to producer Erick Boenisch, no two dynamic introduction videos will be the same as each clip shows off your favorite players performing different signature gestures they are known for doing before or during games. Think LeBron James' pregame toss or a Dirk Nowitzki fist pump after he sinks that high-arcing jumper. There's a new presentation package for playoff games with new starting lineup overlays and home crowds donning uniform colors throughout the arena. In addition, there was a "pop-up" promo involving players at the bottom left of the screen used to promote upcoming games. In terms of graphics, much is still unfinished says Erick, but there's an emphasis on re-lighting faces this year. Player faces and facial emotions are much more recognizable even while the ball is in play because of this lighting tweak.

Speaking of gameplay, a minimal amount was shown and even less was spoken about. However, it is clear more contextual moves will be added in NBA 2K12. Most of the shots taken in our Mavericks vs. Heat demo all seemed to be influenced by player momentum and the location of the ball before the shot animation began. I also noticed a push-ahead dribble by LeBron on a vicious drive to the bucket. That is a welcome sight for both 2K gamers and Heat fans. He couldn't go into detail, but gameplay producer Rob Jones acknowledged more dribbling upgrades are definitely coming in NBA 2K12. He added there would also be an improvement in how the AI uses specific players, making sure all the control and moves given to users are a part of the AI's arsenal as well.

Lastly, I spent a good amount of time trying to find clues about the NBA 2K12 cover athlete, but none was in sight. Community manager Ronnie 2K said they've come up with some crazy ideas so far, but nothing is decided yet. When asked if new play-by-play analyst Steve Kerr was maybe being considered, he vehemently shut that down saying, "Not a chance, and you can quote me on that." Bummer.

Mas info:

Despite the fact that the NBA Finals are still ongoing, 2K Sports is at E3 2011 showing off NBA 2K12. Unfortunately, the team doesn't want to show too much of the game right now, but we did have the chance to check out a brief demo of NBA 2K12's version of the current NBA Finals matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat. What's immediately apparent is the enhancement of the presentation elements and the way the game captures the drama of playoff basketball in the same way television does for the real thing. In fact, there was even a pregame roll of "footage" (using in-game models) showing dramatic clips of individual players of the two teams before the game transitioned into some super-slick starting lineups.

As for the game itself, it looks just as good as ever. The character models have apparently received a significant enough boost in detail that you can actually see their facial expressions from the default camera view. Additionally, 2K Sports is promising that animation will be improved to the extent that it affects actual gameplay--there will be less canned animation, making it possible to keep more control over your players while in the midst of a move to the basket. But perhaps most importantly, there are plans to improve the AI by giving it more situational awareness in certain scenarios. This should help AI opponents use weapons available to human-controlled players a little more effectively than the game has done previously.

And finally, the big question: How do you top Michael Jordan from last year? His Airness and the content focused around him was an enormous part of NBA 2K11 and its success, and while 2K Sports is undoubtedly going to try to match that with NBA 2K12, it's not quite ready to talk about it just yet.

We'll have more on NBA 2K 12 as we approach its release later this year

In NBA 2k11, the digital Dirk Nowitzki looked more like a polygonal zombie than the unstoppable powerhouse we saw in the recent Finals series against The Heat. The NBA 2k franchise’s developers caught this and have given Dirk a timely makeover for NBA 2k12.

The makeover was not just restricted to Nowitzki’s looks on the small screen, it also included a change in his game shooting performance. The way he shoots the ball in NBA 2k12 looks much smoother than his shot in NBA 2k11. Although there wasn’t much competitive pressure for Take Two Interactive subsidiary 2K sports to keep changing its game’s look since EA won’t be releasing an NBA simulation game this year, it shows 2K sports’ developers’ enthusiasm for the game and their commitment to excellence for them to follow through on these changes. This is the kind of attention to detail and doggone persistence that helped 2K Sports bag 21 Sports Game of the Year awards in 2010.

It also explains why the 2K NBA series sold over 5 million units last year. NBA 2k12 embodies the relentless attention to quality, pursuit of excellence that 2K sports’ development teams have for their projects. Of course, not all sports sims in the 2K sports stable are winners but NBA 2k12 sure stands as a shining example of the magic this subsidiary can do.

Como dice Pac...

"Michael Jordan, joined by Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, to grace three unique artistic covers in celebration of NBA legacy

2K Sports announced today that NBA® 2K12, the next installment of the top-rated and best-selling NBA video game simulation franchise*, will offer three separate covers for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft featuring three of the NBA’s greatest legends of all time, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson.

The new stylized NBA 2K12 covers are a unique, one-time departure from the traditional 2K Sports brand artwork, and will spotlight each legendary athlete on his famous team: the Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics, and Los Angeles Lakers. The covers featuring Bird and Johnson will be available at launch in a limited quantity.

A new feat in sports gaming, this three-part collection extends the strong legacy established by NBA 2K11, which has sold-in more than 5 million units worldwide and garnered over 20 video game accolades, including 14 ‘Sports Game of the Year’ honors.

“Bringing Michael Jordan to the virtual hardwood last year was a huge success for NBA 2K11; however, we didn’t want to stop there,” said Jason Argent, vice president of marketing for 2K Sports. “We’re bringing ‘His Airness’ back to the NBA 2K franchise as part of a multi-year extended partnership, along with two other legendary icons – Larry Bird and Magic Johnson – for a special cover athlete collection representing the NBA’s greatest heroes.”

The unprecedented, stylized artwork covers underscore 2K Sports’ passion for bringing fans authentic NBA basketball across generations, while celebrating the legacy of legendary hoops athletes, past and present.

The cover artwork for NBA 2K12 was created by Adam Larson of Adam&Co. Larson has created dynamic artwork for galleries, magazines and various product advertising campaigns. His work has received numerous honors, including the Kelly Awards, Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, and two primetime Emmy nominations

NBA 2K12 can now be pre-ordered from leading video game retailers nationwide, and will be available on October 4, 2011, for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360, Wii™ system, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system and Windows PC.

Every Year, Little tidbits of info are leaked on Mike Wangs' Twitter. So I bring you all of the little bits of info he has given so far.I will continue to update the thread when he posts on twitter, which is few and far between; It should pick up around Launch day. Enjoy!

http://www.twitter.com/beluba

@Beluba Now lets give Taj's sig shot some love!!

"already done. The bulls always get top priority. Lol"

"Need to get that KD dunk on Haywood in 2K12. Gonna have to bust out the trampoline for that one."

"Dirk's gonna get a tricked out sig shot arsenal in 2K12. Dood's earned it."

@Beluba I hope you guys gave Boozer a new sig!

"One of the guys we brought in this year shot exactly like Boozer... so yeah, he's getting hooked up too."

"Random 2K12 info. Since some have asked... I fixed the walk upcourt dribble today. No more hunchback. Have a nice weekend."

@Beluba for me it had the perfect control, but i still like the LS dribbling, just add to it a bit, but we need 2 be able 2 do pullup J's

"Pullup J's left a lot to be desired in 2K11. Shooting was another big focus for me this year... you'll like the upgrades."

@Beluba hey can you fix LeBrons corner 3 he always has a foot on the line can you make him line his feet up for NBA 2k12

"we took care of that problem, boss. Accidentally stepping on the 3pt line is a thing of the past."

--
